Ivan N. Kamalic (1944-2011) gained a reputation as a passionate observer with a keen ability to translate nature onto canvas. A plein air painter of scenes local, New England and of the New York tri-state area, his works also include paintings from his travels outside the United States including Italy and Croatia.

In the tradition of Renaissance artists, his art education began early in his teens. His apprenticeships included extensive work in stone carving and mural painting in Italy. An experienced instructor and winner of many awards, his work is included in over 900 private collections in the United States and abroad.

The I. N. Kamalic gallery is located on beautiful Cape Ann in Rockport, Massachusetts. It is a short trip north of Boston and is accessible by car and commuter rail.
